Engine of Pain is searching for a new singer

Engine of Pain is a Heavy Metal band from the South of the Netherlands. The band has a worldwide record deal at Finnish label Lion Music Ltd. and is supported by some well known brands like Jackson Guitars, Dean Guitars, ENGL amps and Spector basses.

We are searching for a new singer to implement the release our upcoming 2nd album and also to promote that album after the release (interviews, gigs etc.). For the future a 3rd album is planned as well.

The songs for the 2nd album are 90% finished but without any lyrics and vocal melodies. Think about a mixture of Forbidden, Fates Warning, Annihilator, Iron Maiden and Nevermore with heavy parts in between, lots of space for vocals and above all very melodic soloing.

The new style is somewhere in the region of two previous recorded promo songs which you can hear at our Myspace Area www.myspace.com/engineofpain There you also can find all info about the band.

You don’t need to have the same voice as the previous singer but we are NOT looking for a shouter, grunter, screamer, gothic etc. We are searching for a Heavy Metal singer who can sing melodic and who does have enough range and power. We prefer that you write your own lyrics. Basically, we are not looking for a project singer but a new (enthusiastic) steady band member.

If you are interested or have any further questions, send your email to info@engineofpain.com Also, send your previous recordings (MP3 or link) as well if you have any, so we get an idea about your vocals.

Engine of Pain zoekt zanger

Repetities in Leveroy (nabij Kelpen-Oler), in principe elke dinsdagavond (in overleg)

NEW VOCALIST FOR ENGINE OF PAIN!!

Engine of Pain (record label: Lion Music) is very proud to announce their new vocalist: Rogier Stockbroeks a.k.a. Stocky.

Former vocalist Nick Hameury left the band July this year due to his immigration to Spain. Stocky reinforced Engine of Pain as of 1st of August 2007.

Stocky (32) has the ability to sing amazingly powerful clean as well as heavy as hell. Just like Bastiaan, Stocky currently also plays in Stormrider: Europe’s number one metal cover band. Stocky’s most recent band was Powervice. Powervice’s demo “Behold the hand of Glory” was Demo of the Month in Germany’s Rock Hard magazine. Stocky stepped out of this band last January.

It will definitely mean another vocally sound for Engine of Pain, that’s for sure. But the band is convinced that Stocky’s influences will be a great step forward again and it will take the band to the next level. Don’t worry: Engine of Pain will still play most of the old songs live as well. Just as powerful but with another flavour… \m/

The band is in full progress for writing new songs for the upcoming 2nd album. Of course, the style will remain heavy and Engine of Pain-worthy with the intention of the debut album I Am Your Enemy (Lion Music – January 2007) but will contain more melodic vocals, more twin riffs, more high tech soloing and a splash of Heavy Metal.

Engine of Pain’s first gig with Stocky will be on the 6th of October as a support of USA band Pro-Pain (Venue: Plato - Hellmond, the Netherlands).

See you all there!

We’ll keep you posted...stay tuned!!

Dear Engine of Pain fans!

We have some news that we want to share with you all. Nick Hameury will leave Engine of Pain within a very short period of time. Of course we are very sad and disheartened that he won’t be a part of the band anymore, but on the other hand we are very happy for him that he made his wish come true to build up another and hopefully better life in Spain. Nick gave up his dream a few years ago, but unexpectedly got a chance to apply for a job in Madrid and he will be hired for an unlimited period of time. Congrats Nick, you did it! Please read Nick’s personal statement as written below.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Dudes and Dudettes!

The time has come for me to move on… In the last few years I have had a fantastic time with Engine of Pain. I’ve been able to work with some great musicians and friends, and to play some amazing gigs. We released some kick-ass thrash metal which I’m really proud of and which I hope will be enjoyed by our fans for many years more.

I finally got the chance to go live and work in Spain, so I will be moving there pretty soon. Sadly this means that I’ll have to quit EoP, but I’m convinced that we’ll have a new brutal thrasher in place behind the mic soon who will take this unique band to a new level. I wish Pat, Mies, Joep and Bastiaan all the best and I’d like to thank y’all for your support in the past and for your EoP support in the future to come! Whenever I’m in Holland I will be checking out any EoP show, so I’ll see you there!

Cheerzz everybody! Nick

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Of course Engine of Pain will remain, don’t even think about it!! Despite Nick’s departure, our label Lion Music keeps on supporting the band. So many thanks to Lasse Mattson for declaring his faith in Engine of Pain.

However, it will definitely be a new chapter for Engine of Pain’s course of life, so on the other hand it’s quite exciting for us as well. The band is already in the process of looking for a new vocalist and we will inform you about any news about that topic a.s.a.p.

For now - All the best!!!

EOP
Maurice, Joep, Bastiaan, Patrick.

ENGINE OF PAIN SIGNS RECORD DEAL WITH LION MUSIC ltd.

Some Killer News for y’all!!

Engine of Pain is extremely proud to announce that they have signed to Finnish record label Lion Music for the release of their new upcoming album “I Am Your Enemy”.

Traditionally, Lion Music Records ltd. is a home for some of the world’s leading instrumental artists like Tony McAlpine, Rusty Cooley, Mike Terrana, Chris Poland, Marcel Coenen, Randy Coven and Ritchie Kotzen but also holds some great bands like Artension (with Steve DiGiorgio), Sun Caged, Mind’s Eye and Sphere of Souls just to name a few. Just be sure to check out the Lion Music website: www.lionmusic.com for all required information about this great Finnish record label.

Engine of Pain will be spreading its word of pounding, melodic and aggressive thrash metal through the worldwide Lion Music distribution and advertisement channels (www.lionmusic.com/distribution.htm) The Lion Music label president Lars Eric Mattson and Engine of Pain are very happy with the newly baked metal joint venture. Not only because this deal means some kind of a new direction for Lion Music in words of dispersion of musical housekeeping but also for Engine of Pain in words of being part of a very fine high musical quality roster and a label with great distribution channels and ditto promotional power.

The album “I Am Your Enemy” will be released January 2007 and of course….

You will be informed with all related news about this topic!

Studio report! Here some information about our studio activities for our upcoming album I am your Enemy. At this very moment all drums, bass, rhythm and sologuitars are recorded. We are very satified about the the basic sound: it's hard, aggressive and sounds like a fist in your face already..we can't wait to hear the final result! Also the guestgrunters did a great job as well as you will find out... Nick is busy recording his final vocal implosions. Marcel Coenen and Hans Reinders will start pre-mixing the album this upcoming week. After that Peter Neuber (Whimp Sound Studio, Berlin - a.o. Kreator, Macabre, Callenish Circle, Born from Pain, Severe Torture, etc ) will do the final mastering... Also the artwork, made by Marco Jeurissen, is almost ready and its 100% Engine of Pain proof! We will keep in touch!!
