Biography

ENGINE OF PAIN is a metalband from the Dirty South of the Netherlands. The band was founded by Brouwers, Waltmans and Beckers in May 2003. In February 2004, Engine of Pain recorded a MCDemo titled - Here is the Pain! - with vocalist Nick Pain and guitarist Ruud.

Thanks to this MCDemo the German Wacken Open Air organisation decided to invite the band to play at the WACKEN OPEN AIR festival (15th anniversary): one of the biggest metal festivals in the world with 43.000 visitors that year. That same year ENGINE OF PAIN played the finals of the well known band competition METAL BASH as well.

In October 2005, the band started to plan and execute their next step: recording their full length album. The result was a relentless album with outspoken lyrics and ditto artwork. This album - I Am Your Enemy - was released worldwide by Lion Music on the 26th of January 2007.

The band recorded a 2 track promo CD with guitarist Bastiaan Kuiper and vocalist Rogier Stockbroeks in November 2007.

As from July 2009 vocalist Nick is back on vocals and guitarist Luc de Warem enters the band.

Currently, Engine of Pain is working on their final project... for the time being. The band will release 5 brand new tracks, one by one. All tracks will be free downloadable and of 4 tracks a video will be made. After that the band will be inactive for an unknown period of time.
